It was hard growing up for Emily. She was raised with a mom who used to be a stewardess and a computer programmer dad. As a kid, she was spending time more with her uncles and cousins. She was taught to cuss when she was 5, when one of her uncles showed her South Park and taught her to listen to emo rock songs and death metal. It was a good distraction from all the screaming going on everyday between her parents. She also spent time with her big brother, who was four years older and obsessed with video games. Everytime she spent time with him, she was either watching him playing Grand Theft Auto or listening to My Chemical Romance. The screaming stopped when her little sister was born. After everything was fine for three or four years, the screaming started again. This time, her dad was cheating on her mom with his secretary, a girl who used to babysit Emily and her siblings. And that was happening while she was nine years old. By she was 12, her parents divorced and she started rebelling. 13, skipping school and smoking weed. 14, intense therapy. 15, recovery. She was fine for a year until she became friends with people who encouraged her to do these things, again. By November, her mom made arrangements to move to Lima. As if there were no better places than Lima.
